In 2011, I created a series of wine tasting classes in Paris to teach people all aspects of French wine.
In 2015, I started helping French restaurants—including a number of Michelin star recipients—develop amazing wine lists that delight guests.
In 2017 and for 3 years, I was in charge of a Loire Valley appellation in France (Bourgueil), working with the winemakers on both promotion and the technical matters of wine production.
Today, I'm teaching wine online and doing wine lectures in different countries.

You’ll learn how to read and understand the information written on any French wine label—even if you don’t speak French! You’ll learn the exact meanings behind the different notations, including the winery, region, grapes, appellation, cru, and so on. Importantly, you’ll learn how to categorize that information so that you can compare and contrast varieties.
Module #2 - Learn the French Wine Regions
In Module 2, you’ll explore the different wine regions in France! This module is the biggest part of the program!
When reviewing each wine region in France, you’ll learn the grape varieties and wine styles. You'll also learn the specificities and label notations for each region, such as classifications, Grand Crus, Premiers Crus, blanc de blancs, etc.
Module #3 - Pairing French wines
Here, I’ll show you an example of an ideal wine cellar, and discuss how to properly assemble a collection. You’ll learn how to collect the right mix of wines from different regions, colors, vintages, aging potentials and styles.
More generally, this module will help you understand how restaurant wine lists are designed and how to quickly find the particular style of wine that’s a perfect fit for the occasion.
This module is more practical. You'll learn how to pair French wines.
First, you'll learn the wine and food pairing basic principles.
Then, you'll get a typical restaurant menu including a complete list of wines from France.
For each dish in the menu, I'll comment on the best pairing(s), and choose the best bottle(s) from the wine list.
Module #4 - Strengthen your background
In this module, I'll show you how to strengthen your wine background, in order to be able to identify the best values at a wine shop, when visiting friends, or at the restaurant!
We'll review the iconic wines and wineries from France.
We'll also review the best vintages for each region in France, and the ones to avoid.
Not all vintages are equal. You can buy the same wine from two different years and clearly taste the difference. The vintage affects the flavor complexity, the tannins, and the aging potential.
In this module, you’ll learn the great vintages of each major region, and the ones to avoid (or to drink while the wines are still young). You’ll also learn the vintages that have the best value in the market.
Module #5 - Get your Certificate
Pass the test and get your Diploma!
Several times a month, I'll invite you to pass a live test session.
When you feel ready, you can subscribe to the test.
During one hour, you'll have to answer a serie of 50 questions online.
You need to get at least 35 good answers to get your Certificate!
You can do it several times, until you pass the test.
